Anonymous askedDepends, if you want them to shine like pearls, then you gotta do it almost every day. Once you build up a good shine then you dont need to do it as often. I usually polish them 2-3 times a week.

Anonymous askedI just used my Zippo and melted the ends of the length of rope I cut so they bubble up and seal off, Than use my pocket knife to cut down the melted plastic after it cools down so it will lace through an eyelet. Then I would hold the flame a little behind the end of the cord or however long I want the stiff plastic to be, close enough to kinda melt the cord, and pull it away once the end started to heat up and droop down (But not melt). Then roll the lace over and do it again. (this will kinda turn that part of the lace a yellowish tint) Just enough they plastic near the end hardens into that stiff end, but not melt.
